E vejam só o porquê deles terem colocado a bandeira:

______
Dear Brother Joel

I am very happy to help with some informations I have. Anything I can be useful I am ready.

In fact, some South American countries are not represented in the bar. They are Paraguay (3 active Chapters, about 100 DeMolays, and growing fast), and Peru (01 Chapter). Paraguayan Chapters are under the Brazilian Supreme Council, and the Sao Paulo State´s EO represents them (Estrella de Assuncion Chapter - Assuncion city, Perla del Sur Chapter - Encarnacion city, Estrella de Amambay Chapter - Pedro Juan Caballero city). The Concordia Universal Chapter (Lima, Peru), is under the Texas´s EO. I think they will be very glad to be added in the bar.

And Portugal has no DeMolay Chapter. There are tens of Brazilian DeMolays living there, and they are trying to install a Chapter in Lisbon. I personally talked to the ex-Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Portugal, and he even published one text I wrote to their official newsletter

I think it´s important to add the information that Bolivia has almost 20 Chapters, 1 (or 2) Priories, and 1 Court of Chevaliers! They have their own National Master Councilor to represent almost 1000 Bolivian DeMolays. The next South American Congress will be held in Bolivia, but it is subordinated to the Brazilian Supreme Council. Another interesting information is that who had the idea to have Chapters in Bolivia were some Brazilian college students and now we have this huge number!

We are trying to install Chapters in Argentina for years, but there are some troubles involving their traditional FreeMasonry and religion. There are news about Venezuela and they can be good. The Grand Lodge of Chile has a boys´ club and it isn´t even thinking about the matter. There are many Uruguayan DeMolays in Rio Grande do Sul State Chapters. Equador, so, is the only country in whole South America where I have no news about, but I will try to know something as soon as I can.

Please, excuse me but I will use this message to invite you to our National Congress, which will take place in the beautiful Florianopolis city, where there are 4 Chapters. The city is built over an Atlantic island, and the Congress will happen in next July.

Dear Brother, I hope someday we can meet personally, so we could exchange much more informations, mainly about our history and heritage.

Fraternally,
Marcelo Brito

Subject: DeMolay around the world

Brother Marcelo,

My name is Joel Davis and I work for DeMolay International at our headquarters in Kansas City. I have met you a couple of times at Sessions.

I work on the DeMolay web site (www.demolay.org). At the bottom of every page on the web site, there is a bar which contains the flags of the countries which have DeMolay chapters. Once in a while, I get an e-mail from someone who says that we are missing some of the flags. I have asked around, and it seems like no one really knows whether there is DeMolay in some countries. Since you have traveled around so much, I thought I would ask if you know:

Do you know which countries have DeMolay chapters? What are the one's that you are sure of?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Fraternally,
Joel Davis
